Going under the spotlight this month is Gower Gold, our best-selling golden ale.
After the success of our first brew, Brew One, we began to experiment with different ingredients and in December 2011, Gower Gold was created.
Inspired by the Gower’s golden sands and sunrises, Gower Gold is a thirst-quenching golden ale with refreshing citrus flavours and the aroma of cascade hops. Clocking in at 4.5% ABV, it has become a firm favourite with Gower beer fans all over the country.
But it’s not just our fans that love Gower Gold - the favourite has been nominated for a number of awards, including joint winner of the 2015 Swansea CAMRA Beer Festival’s ‘Beer of the Festival’ and finalist in the Sainsbury’s Great British Beer Hunt 2013.
It’s popularity has also seen it become Gower Brewery’s best selling product – in fact, nearly two-thirds of all sales in 2018 were Gower Gold products, not bad for our second recipe!
