Did you know that we host the Malthouse in Swansea Grand Theatre? Located in the heart of Swansea City Centre in one of the most iconic and oldest theatres, the Malthouse blends our award winning ales with other local flavours such as Gower Coffee, GG’s Gelato and Ivy’s Gin.
We offer a range of options from our various outlets here in the Grand Theatre from cafe and restaurant dining to numerous bars and venue hire options.
Bar & Pre-show Dining
Open from 5pm on show nights, we offer a set menu of two or three courses. Browse our menu of home cooked dishes with a Gower Brewery flair including our renowned beer battered cod and chips! The bar is fully stocked with our award-winning beers and a selection of local spirits and wines. We advise that all dining is pre-booked to avoid disappointment.
Cafe
Our cafe brings you the best local flavours with fresh ground Gower Coffee, scooped GG's Gelato, alcoholic bottled drinks and a range of confectioneries all available until the interval. Located next to the Box Office, our Cafe is open 6 days a week from 10-4pm serving a range of light bites including cakes, paninis, waffles and soup specials!
Venue Hire
Need a space to host a coffee morning, community event or celebration? Why not use The Malthouse? Ideally situated in the heart of Swansea with great links to the bus service, in the iconic Swansea Grand Theatre. With multiple bar spaces, a light conservatory and full access – our spaces are suitable for coffee mornings, private functions, baby showers, birthday parties and pre/after-show events. We also offer a range of bespoke event packages.

The Malthouse is a partnership with Swansea Grand Theatre to bring you the best of Gower Brewery’s award winning ales in the heart of Swansea. The inspiration behind “The Malthouse” stems back to pre-1883. In days gone by there was previously a brewery & malthouse in exactly the same place where the Grand Theatre stands now. It’s the perfect place to relax, enjoy home cooked food, light bites and of course, a Gower Gold!
