Gower Brewery has taken home six awards at the inaugural Indie Beer Awards Cymru, which took place on Thursday 18th September in Haverfordwest. Welsh brewers from around the country gathered for the competition, with Head Brewer, Adam Hathaway and Head of Sales, Richard Lewis representing the brewery on the day. The competition was held ahead of the first-ever Indie Beer Cymru Festival, organised by The Society of Independent Brewers and Associates (SIBA), with the winning beers featured during the festival.
There was strong competition in cask and keg categories across the board, and we were delighted to pick up six awards, including category and overall cask champion for Gower Power. Other winners included Gower Gold and our lagers, Lighthouse and Riptide; the latter having launched in 2024.
The event was a huge success, serving as a fantastic showcase of Welsh brewing. We’re incredibly proud to have been recognised amongst such a broad spectrum of beers of the highest quality from all around Wales. Read on for our full list of awards from the day.
